This section is future information on how Program Extensions work. These are not available right now. They wont be available until after Enrollment. The statements in bold are the most important aspects of using Program Extensions. Program Extensions cost $5.00/hr per child.

 

• To use a Program Extension, you must first fill out an Application Request (which will be available to you in your online parent portal)

• ONLY available to Full Time families enrolled in the Traditional Care system.

• Program Extensions are pre-purchased, scheduled Drop In slots used to cover OCCASIONAL needs that are outside of the Traditional Care's operating hours (evening/nights after 7:30pm, Weekends, and holidays) or they can be used outside of a regular work shift. *If you work multiple weekends or holiday shifts, you will be better served in the Flexible Care System. An application for a program extension would be used only for a parent who may need to use it once a month, or only a few times over the course of several months.)

• Program Extensions are very limited, so it will help to know your schedule ahead of time and purchase them as soon as you can. Due to limited availability and with childcare needs being in high demand, we will be limiting each family to being able to use ONE program extension each month. We are hoping to expand this service in the future as we grow.

Here is a list of the Program Extensions:

• A Purchased Drop In Slot in the Weekend Care Program

• A Purchased Drop In Slot in the Holiday Care Program

• A Purchased Drop In Slot in the Evening/Overnight Care Program

• A Purchased Drop In Slot in the regular Drop In Care Program (for those that need extended hours outside of their work schedule, but still fall within the Operating Hours.

Example A: A parent who regularly only needs care from 5am-2pm M-F, but needs to work overtime this week. They apply and purchase a program extension on Monday to cover four additional hours so they can work until 6pm on Friday.

 

Other Examples of using a Program Extension

Example B A parent who works FT in an Industry who needs to work overtime, makeup for missed work, or is asked to work on a day not normally scheduled

Example C A parent who works FT in an Industry who needs an occasional weekend or holiday for the purpose of attending a team bonding event, corporate meeting, or business trip
